Kitchen Lights

We spend vast amounts of our time at home in the kitchen and it is a room in which has many different uses, but with a little thought kitchen lighting can be a breeze!

With the use of hot liquids, sharp knives and electrical equipment, safety is paramount, so a higher level of light is needed than in other rooms.

Your kitchen will benefit from a more even distribution of light - central kitchen ceiling lights or multi-head spotlights are ideal, or recessed lights make a good alternative. Lights fitted under cabinets, shelves and kitchen units will also help to illuminate work surfaces. If you have glass cabinets, small halogen lights can add interest.

Finally, if your kitchen is also your dining room, consider using halogen lights for a nicer atmosphere when the main lights needed in preparation are turned off.
